The photos displayed barely do this tranquil getaway justice. Feels like you have the entire estate to yourself. Luxurious interior, exceptional attention to detail and the most diligent and caring hosts who look after you from afar and give you all the space you desire. We will be visiting again and encourage you to book while it remains at this price point. It will only go up in time as more and more people discover this gem.”

“Perfect in every respect…….outstanding cottage, spotlessly clean, well-appointed and with stunning views. Jonathan and Rosie are so welcoming and friendly and there if you need them but not intrusive in any way. The area is peaceful and ideal if you need to get away from the rat-race…..though a good Wifi signal in place if you can’t quite leave those work emails alone!
Lots of lovely places to visit nearby, and a welcoming local pub a short walk away, which serves good food. Great land around the cottage to explore, and although there are sheep quietly grazing the surrounding fields, there are none of the normal noises and smells associated with a working farm.
My wife and I have stayed at many lovely UK properties of this nature, but Goose Run Cottage is the first one that we have vowed to return to…..we would have extended our week stay if there was not another booking following us. And now we are planning a long weekend return visit in a couple of months, and another week next year.”

“We had time to take in the wildlife, deer roaming across your front lawn. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of normal life, no light at night makes for great stargazing.”
Chris, Wakefield
“We came for our honeymoon and I can’t imagine a better place to stay. We feel really lucky to have found this gem.”

“Jonathan and Rosie have gone all out to provide 100% one of the most beautiful well equipped cottages that we have had the pleasure of staying in.”

“Everything is extremely high quality, from the furniture (e.g. super-king size bed in main bedroom) to the kitchen equipment. No expense has been spared and it is very comfortable.”
Tom, Hants
“Jonathan and Rosie have created a fantastic retreat where you can unwind and relax. It is quiet and peaceful and the views of the Dorset country side are beautifully framed by the ceiling height doors! The cottage is of high quality and look forward to returning soon!”
RW, Bath
“We were more than impressed with everything. After days trailing the Dorset countryside, it was a welcome relief to come back, relax and unwind in such a comfortable home. Jonathan couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful.”
Timberman, Sunderland
“We were snowed in and it all looked so beautiful. We walked through the estate to the local pub for lunch with the added bonus of an encounter with roe deer.”

If you are seeking peace and tranquility you will find it in this rural haven far away from the suburban rush of city life. Road noise is practically non-existent and there is no light pollution. At night you can almost touch the stars. Apart from the owners Jonathan & Rosie Lewis and their personal guests, the farm estate is yours to explore. There is a tree house which doubles as a wildlife hide and an area to light a fire if you wish. You can picnic anywhere on the estate you like. From here you can also enjoy the many bridleways and footpaths in the immediate area.
Enjoy the magnificent views of the estate’s lake, pastures, woodland and hills through the huge glass doors in the living room or from the picture windows opposite the super king sized bed while sipping a cup of tea in the morning. The whole estate is yours to explore. Wander through the wild flower meadow with its hundreds of wild orchids in season, follow the tumbling woodland streams, enjoy the wide grass meadows, light a campfire down by the tree house and swing on our ropes. Take a 15 minute walk down to the Fox for an evening drink and some supper and when you get home marvel at the night sky in peace and quiet.
